“Football Friday” With Scott Radecic

The Center for the Study of Sports in Society is looking forward to its first annual “Football Friday” event on Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. in the Sutliffe Auditorium in Katz Building. The event will be a conversation between Scott Radecic and Professor John Affleck, Knight Chair in Journalism at the Bellisario College of Communications, on “The Future of Sports Stadiums, How Changing Facilities Impact Communities, the Fan Experience, Participants, and Sports Themselves.”  The 75-minute event will feature an opportunity for Q&A from the audience.

Scott Radecic is the founding senior principal at Populous, one of the leading architecture and design firms in the world with expertise in sports facility design and planning. Radecic received his bachelor’s in architectural engineering from Penn State, was an All-American linebacker on the 1982 national championship teams, and played 11 seasons in the NFL. His work emphasizes the inter-disciplinary nature of important sports issues.

  1. Another attempt by the AD to spend a pile of money, taxpayers money and NLC money to promote her persistant dreams of new construction. I can’t support it. I will terminate my NLC membership should this happen.
How about scholarships to educate financially needy students? Ipads, notebooks, bookstore credits, etc. for those who really need this to make this university a great instituiion. Paterno started it, now its up to the Board to carry it on.
